As the CEO of Fidelis Marketing Group, Mr. Danchev, known to his friends as “Valentino”, has managed thriving teams for luxury vacation membership programs and top flight resort operators, promoting high-end tourism and elite experiences across Latin America. Beyond the world of business, Valentino is the founder of the Chilpayate Foundation. A prominent non-profit organization based in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the Foundation provides education and culture-focused resources and assistance to children living in underserved communities. Even in his down time, Valentino leads an active life. An avid outdoorsman, adventurer and lover of motorsports, Valentino is a repeat participant in the Baja 1000, an annual off-road motorsport race held in Baja California.   Danchev’s group of companies have nearly US $1 billion in annual sales with nearly 2,000 employees.  His companies represent some of the largest revenue companies in Mexico and are on the Mexican government’s Grandes Contribuyentes list (a list of the largest taxpayers in Mexico). Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, Kaloyan Valentinov Danchev attended the highly-selective Francophone high school, Lycée Français Alphonse de Lamartine de Sofia. Upon graduating, he attended Sofia’s University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy before joining the Miroglio Group in 1996, then the largest Italian textile company in Europe.  In the ensuing years, Valentino Danchev rapidly rose through the ranks to become Sales Manager for Miroglio’s Giorgetti fabrics line across all of Eastern Europe. With a host of representative offices spanning Eastern Europe, Valentino’s role sent him throughout the region, in addition to extensive travel to Miroglio’s Italian headquarters in Alba, Piedmont, major textile shows in Paris and Frankfurt, and overseas business trips to

With a host of representative offices spanning Eastern Europe, Valentino’s role sent him throughout the region, in addition to extensive travel to Miroglio’s Italian headquarters in Alba, Piedmont, major textile shows in Paris and Frankfurt, and overseas business trips to New York. This jet-setting professional life allowed Valentino to immerse himself in diverse cultures and master seven languages, while his stays in high-end hotels across the world sparked his interest in the luxury tourism industry. Recognizing Mexico’s enormous potential, Valentino decided to leverage his unique formative experience in the textiles industry and move to the country in the early 2000s - a ‘turning point’ period when Mexico was beginning a sharp economic ascent and full of opportunities for bold, entrepreneurial spirits. Shortly after arriving in Cancún, Valentino began a position as General Sales Manager for a luxury resort developer in Playa del Carmen, then a small village soon to become one of the fastest-growing places in the world. Learning the ropes of the luxury tourism sector with a luxury hotel brand during this transformative decade of development for the region, Valentino was later promoted to Project Director before launching his own company, Fidelis Marketing Group, in 2013. Adopting a scientifically-driven approach developed in partnership with Professor Shapiro of Harvard University, Valentino and his team have led Fidelis to fill a niche in the luxury vacation membership market, tailoring their offers precisely to clients’ needs and preferences. What’s more, Fidelis’s focus on and dedication to its employees is another key market differentiator, with Valentino maintaining a resolute focus on investing in skills training and motivating staff to constantly strive for more. Since his career beginnings in Europe, Valentino has benefited immensely from the mentorship and friendship of influential figures such as Edoardo Miroglio and Dario Alessandria, who taught him to think big and strategically while working at Miroglio Group - an education that has inspired his successful approach to entrepreneurship in Mexico. From his passion for outdoor activities and adventure sports, Kaloyan Valentinov Danchevv has learned the critical importance of focus and competitiveness in achieving lasting professional and personal success. Meanwhile, Valentino’s extensive charity work - often supported by Fidelis’s employees - has reinforced his belief in the ability of socially responsible businesses to effect positive change within their communities.
